Hitachi ZX 890-7 Excavator DCU Removal & Installation Guide

This post show you guide on how to remove and install DCU for Hitachi ZX890-7 excavator.

Removal of DCU
1. Set the machine position for inspection and maintenance. (Refer to Preparation before Inspection and Maintenance in the separate Workshop Manual.)
2. IMPORTANT
Set the key switch to the OFF position. Wait 5 minute or longer, and then set battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Set the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

3. Open cover (1).




4. Remove bolts, washers (2) (4 used). Remove cover (3).



5. Disconnect connectors (7) (2 used).
6. Remove bolts, washers (6) (4 used). Remove DCU (5) from bracket (8).

Installation of DCU
1. Install DCU (5) to bracket (8) with bolts, washers (6) (4 used).
2. Connect connectors (7) (2 used).

3. Install cover (3) with bolts, washers (2) (4 used).

4. Close cover (1).

5. Set the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
6. Perform the Aftertreatment Device Forcible Manual Regeneration Control function.
