Hitachi ZX890-7 Excavator Main Controller Removal and Installation Guide

This instruction show you guide on how to remove and install main controller for Hitachi ZX890-7 excavator.

Procedures:
Removal of MC (Main Controller)
1. Set the machine position for inspection and maintenance. (Refer to Preparation before Inspection and Maintenance in
the separate Workshop Manual.)
2. IMPORTANT
Set the key switch to the OFF position. Wait 5 minute or longer, and then set battery disconnect switch to the
OFF position.
Set the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
3. Open door (1).

4. Fold seat (2). Slide seat (2) to the front end.
5. Remove caps (3) (4 used).
6. Remove cover (4).

7. Remove screw (5), screws, washer (6), bolts (15), and washers (16). Remove the cover (14) assembly.
8. Remove screws, washers (8) (2 used) and bolts, washer (10).
9. Disconnect connector (17) and connectors (18) (2 used). Remove cover (9).

10. Remove screws, washers (7) (2 used), bolts (12) (2 used), and washers (13) (2 used). Remove the cover (11) assembly. At
this time, duct (20) is also removed at the same time

11. Disconnect connectors (24) (6 used). (Refer to "Instructions for Disconnecting Connectors"T5-1-7.)
12. Remove bolts, washers (22) (4 used). Remove the MC (23) assembly.
13. Remove screws, washers (25) (4 used). Remove MC (23) from brackets (21) (2 used).

Installation of MC (Main Controller)
1. Install MC (23) to brackets (21) (2 used) with screws, washers (25) (4 used).
2. Install the MC (23) assembly with bolts, washers (22) (4 used).
: 13 mm
: 10 N·m
3. Connect connectors (24) (6 used)

4. Install the cover (11) assembly with washers (13) (2 used), bolts (12) (2 used) and screws, washers (7) (2 used). At this
time, install also duct (20).

5. Install cover (9). Connect connector (17) and connectors (18) (2 used).
6. Install bolt, washers (10) and, screw, washers (8) (2 used).

7. Install the cover (14) assembly with bolt (15), washers (16), screws, washer (6), and screw (5).

8. Install cover (4).
9. Install caps (3) (4 used).
10. Slide seat (2) to the rear side. Raise seat (2).

11. Close door (1)

12. Set the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
